Here’s the limit nobody markets: machines don’t have context.
An algorithm can flag that a product is underperforming in a region. It can’t tell you why local sentiment shifted last month. It can spot an anomaly on an X-ray. It can’t sit with a patient’s history or the weight of a diagnosis.
Data tells you what. Context tells you why. You still own the why.

This changes the job, not just the workload. When a tool can generate a hundred directions for a campaign, your value stops being “I can produce this” and becomes “I know which one is right.”
That’s a real shift in what skill looks like. Taste, judgment, and audience instinct now matter more than raw output speed.
The oversight that makes it safe
None of this works without a human-in-the-loop. Low-stakes tasks (a list of blog titles) can run mostly unsupervised. High-stakes ones (a financial call, a diagnosis, anything with real consequences) need a person checking the work every time.
Regular audits aren’t just error-catching. They’re how you train the tool to get better at working the way you actually think.
